From October 21, Thai Vietjet launches direct flight to Ahmedabad-Bangkok

With its sights set on expanding its reach and improving connectivity across Tier-2 cities in India, Thai Vietjet is an Thai licensed low-cost airline that has announced a newly announced international service from Ahmedabad up to Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) beginning on October 21st.
The brand new international flight from Ahmedabad to Bangkok will be operating on three flights each week, and the flight takes approximately 3 hours and 55 minutes on Wednesdays and Fridays, and Sundays. Also, you can fly to Bangkok from Bangkok to Ahmedabad on Thursdays, Tuesdays and on Saturdays.
Presently, Thai Vietjet operates double-day flight services between Bangkok through Phnom Penh and Singapore and also operates its direct flights from Bangkok through Fukuoka with a weekly frequency of 4 flights. The frequency is to increase by five weekly flights by October. The airline also runs the route that connects Bangkok towards Taipei (Taoyuan) which has the frequency of one flight per week, every Thursday. The frequency will increase to 2 flights per week by October.
“Since tourism is on its track to returning to the pre-pandemic level, we strongly believe that the service between the two destinations would help facilitate the region’s growing travel demand and stimulate the trade recovery of both countries, particularly, the international tourism industry and aviation business,” said Woranate Laprabang CEO for Thai Vietjet.
Vietjet Air reports an increase of 15% in its the revenue of air transport in the second quarter of 2022. The airline also is announcing more flights that are direct between India and Vietnam.
The airline is set to launch two direct flights connecting Mumbai as well as New Delhi with Da Nang in Oct 17-18 and will launch three additional route options towards Da Nang from Bengaluru (Bangalore), Hyderabad and Ahmedabad on November 28 and 29 and 1 December. respectively. In addition the planned expansion, the airline plans to increase its service to connect India’s most popular locations and Southeast Asia (Bali, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur), Northeast Asia (Seoul, Busan, Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei) and the Asia Pacific.
To commemorate the launch of the international service, the airline unveiled a special sale”Let’s Go to Bangkok Shock Sale! Special fares are available starting at INR zero (exclusive of tax, fees and surcharges) for travel on Thai Vietjet’s newest international service Ahmedabad to Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi).

Thai Vietjet, in cooperation with Vietjet Group, has retained steady flight services in the region of Thailand as well as Vietnam (from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City) with the possibility of five flights per day, and in March of 2022 it has restored direct service connecting Bangkok as well as Da Nang, with the frequency of two flights daily. The airline is also set to begin direct flights between Bangkok towards Phu Quoc, starting from October 2022 with 4 flights per week.
At present, travelers who have been fully vaccinated who are entering Thailand do not have to carry a valid certificate of the test Covid-19 before entering the country. Nor are they required to undergo quarantine on the arrival. Travelers are also no longer required to apply for a Thailand Pass before departure.
