Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine

Noosa Natural Attraction Travel Guide

The luxury enclave of Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast combines beautiful beaches with top-class dining, shopping and natural attractions. Enjoy the gorgeous local scenery, or take a day trip to amazing Fraser Island or the lush hinterland.

Tucked between coastal and inland National Parks, the beachside village of Noosa Heads sits at the river mouth. The township of Noosaville is five minutes drive upstream. With no high rise buildings, plenty of greenery, and the Noosa River running through it, Noosa’s exclusive ambience is a huge part of its appeal.

Nearby Nature Attraction

Anyone who loves the great outdoors will love Noosa. Swimming, surfing, nature walks, photography, watersports and fishing are just some of the activities available. For the best beaches Noosa Main Beach has relatively tame surf, making it a family friendly place for a swim. Noosa National Park also has beautiful beaches, and is a famed surfing spot.

Enter Noosa National Park at the southern end of Noosa Main Beach. Its five kilometre coastal trail takes in beautiful coastal scenery and coves. Look out for koalas along the way. Only 15 minutes drive north of Noosa is Boreen Point and Lake Cootharaba for sailing and paddling. Elanda Point is a little further and the entry to Cooloola National Park and the Noosa Everglades. Visitors can hire kayaks to explore the calm waters, or walk the National Park trails.
