Bijrani zone in Corbett National Park is one of the most popular among day tourists that is at a distance of 4 km from Ramnagar Railway Station. It is a charming place and is popular for its deep forest, wildlife, stormy drains, and vast grasslands. During the British period, the terrain was famed for the quality of game hunting. Permissions are required from The Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve, Ramnagar to visit Bijrani. They allow a maximum of 30 vehicles to traverse into Bijrani during the morning and even evening hours. Advance booking is needed for the morning safari and when it comes to evening safaris, permits are offered on a first come first serve basis.

 Jhirna Jeep Safari

Jhirna is situated on the southern periphery of Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve at a distance of 15 km from Ramnagar. Travelers can get into this zone through the Dhela gate and require to show the permit at the entrance gate. The most comfortable and best zone for tourists is Jhirna Safari Zone among all the zones. A great number of travelers come to Jhirna every year to spot the amazing wildlife. Apart from a wide range of wildlife, this area is known for its natural beauty. In the morning, about 25 vehicles can come to this area and the same as in the evening.

Garjiya Devi Temple

Girija Devi Temple or Garjiya Devi Temple is a well-known temple situated in Garjiya village at a distance of 14 km from Ramnagar on the outskirts of the Corbett National Park. It is one of the most popular temples in the Nainital district considered as a sacred Shakti shrine. A large number of tourists visit this temple every year. Goddess Garjiya Devi is idolized in this temple and located on the top of a large rock in the middle of the Kosi River.

Bijrani Elephant Safari

The only way to view the wild animals closely and spend more time with them is the Bijrani Elephant Safari which is at a distance of 4 km from Ramnagar Railway Station. The moment of riding on the back of an elephant and enjoying through the lush green forests of Jim Corbett leaves one astonished. Tourists can go deep into a beautiful river flowing through, rugged track, mysterious forest, and scenic valley with vast grassland along with the elephant and expert Mahout. When you go close to a herd of wild elephant or tiger, you will feel adventurous.

Dhikala Canter Safari

Dhikala is the largest forest safari zone and also the main administrative center at the Jim Corbett National Park at a distance of 20 km from Ramnagar Railway Station. Travelers can get into this zone through the Dhangari gate and require to show the pass at the entrance gate. By standing at the watchtower, the visitors can take the views of the Kanda Ridge and the valley from here. Visitors can witness hog deer, wild elephants, raptors, chital, and various grassland bird species at this place. Canter safaris are the only way to get into Dhikala as regular Jeep Safari is not allowed during day time.

Durgadevi Jeep Safari

Durgadevi Jeep Safari Zone is a hill safari zone situated at the North-Eastern side of the Corbett National Park that is at a distance of 30 km from Ramnagar. Tourists can get inside this zone through Durgadevi Gate and require to show the permit at the gate of entrance. It is a hilly area popular for sighting Otters and wild elephants at Domunda Bridge. One can also view the famous Masheer fish in the waters of Ramganga River in the Durga Devi zone. Lush green forest in this range offers a great opportunity to watch a variety of birds as well.

Jim Corbett Museum

Jim Corbett Museum is a heritage museum located in Choti Haldwani on Ramnagar road that is at a distance of 34 km from Nainital, 32 km from Ramnagar, and 25 km from Haldwani. It is a single-storied bungalow constructed with the use of lime mortar and stone on a high plinth. This house is considered as a winter residence for Jim and his sister Maggie. The museum brings the life, activities, and memory of Jim Corbett.

Corbett Falls

Corbett Falls is located on Ramnagar – Kaladhungi highway in Nainital district at a distance of 38 km from Nainital, 26 km from Ramnagar, and 5 km from Kaladhungi. The waterfall is one of the top destinations to visit in Nainital. It is a  picturesque waterfall and is surrounded by thick teak wood forest. One can hear the sound of the waterfall that makes an ideal melody with the birds’ chirpings. The waterfall is not very big however bathing in the falls is no longer allowed. Sitabani buffer zone is a very popular tourist attraction of Jim Corbett National Park that is at a distance of 25 km from Ramnagar. It is snuggled in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas in the state of Uttarakhand. In this forest in Corbett, visitors can take a wild trek for enjoyment. Also, it is a popular zone for the activity of bird watching.
